Taught by her mother, Lisa began to sew at a young age. She further developed her creative passions by studying clothing design and textiles in college. Over the years, Lisa has operated a sewing and alterations business, taught sewing classes, and consulted in the field of interior design. In 2012, Lisa began her own custom machine embroidery business - Sew & Co.

Sew & Co. offers wholesale products through S&S Activewear and SanMar. This includes name brand manufacturers such as Adidas, Columbia, Nike, The North Face, Eddie Bauer, Carhartt.
